C3 creating graphs

This week we have been working on finding ways to create a bar graph, strip graph and a pie chart. We can use our bar graph to make the strip graph. We then used the strip graph to make a pie chart. Each of our graphs show the same information, just set out in different ways. We can use these graphs to answer questions about our data/information.

Sonshine Ranch

Last week the Year 5's went off to Sonshine Ranch, out by Clevedon/Papakura. We all had a wonderful day trying new activities and giving things a try even when they were scary for us. We shot arrows at a bulls eye in Archery, climbed the Rock Climbing tower and the Centipede, went through the underground tunnels, flew across the bush on the Flying Fox and swung on the Rope Swing ready for Mrs Crawford to catch us. It was so much fun and some of us conquered our fears.
Take a look at our video to show some of what we got up to.

Literacy Display

Hi everyone,
In C3 we have a special place where we show some of our Literacy activities and learning. Please come and visit us and read some of our work. You can flick up the writing and see other work underneath.

Last week we worked on Character Descriptions and published them on a picture of our favourite character. We talked about what our characters looks like and how they act.

C1, C2 and C3 met and learnt about Milo

Here's some photos of us learning about how we can stay safe around Milo and other dogs.

Quietly Confident C3

Welcome to our new class blog for C3. We hope you will enjoy reading about the things that we are getting up to. We will be sharing some of our writing, some of our publishing that we do on the iPad's and Chromebooks and some other class work. Please make some nice comments to tell us what you think of our work. From C3
